Today’s Yangtze funding roundup: quantum chip, metrology and robot data…

  • Quantum computing and sensing startups are raising fresh capital as China pushes to commercialize next-generation technologies
  • New funding is also flowing into physical AI data infrastructure, supporting the expansion of embodied intelligence

Quantum chipmaker Silicon Extreme closes $15 million Series B round

Hefei-based quantum chip developer Silicon Extreme has raised more than 100 million yuan in a Series B financing round led by Inno Chip and Gettop, with participation from Huace Group, Suzhou Capital Group, Suzhou Financial Holdings, Chuangling Capital, Houliang Capital and Hefei Industry Investment.

The company will use the proceeds to develop a 10,000-bit dedicated optical computing cluster and general-purpose quantum computing chipsets.

Founded in 2020 with technology originating from the team of Chinese Academy of Sciences academician Guo Guangcan at the University of Science and Technology of China, Silicon Extreme is developing full-stack optical quantum computing systems capable of running general-purpose quantum algorithms.

Its QRNG-10 quantum random number generator is China’s first millimeter-scale QRNG chip, with orders for about 200,000 units for applications including SIM cards and smart-meter security chips.

Quantum metrology startup Chinaprosp secures strategic funding

Hefei-based quantum industrial measurement company Chinaprosp Quantum (国盛量子) has raised tens of millions of yuan in a strategic funding round exclusively backed by State Grid’s venture fund.

The latest funding will support technology upgrades, product expansion and capacity building.

Founded in 2019, the company develops industrial applications based on diamond NV-center quantum sensing technology, with products including quantum diamond magnetometers, quantum current measurement systems and quantum nondestructive testing equipment.

Chinaprosp participated in the development of Hefei Houdian Station, China’s first quantum-technology demonstration substation, where 18 types of its power-sector quantum technologies have been deployed across 85 sets of equipment.\

Robot data startup Maniformer ropes in China Telecom as new backer

Shanghai-based physical AI data services platform Maniformer (觅蜂科技) has raised several hundred million yuan in a new funding round led by China Telecom, with participation from Zhangjiang Group and additional investment from existing shareholders including HongShan and Yuanqi Robot.

The new funding will support its embodied AI data infrastructure, expand MEgo production and strengthen its full-stack data capabilities.

Founded in February 2026 as the former data business of AgiBot, Maniformer AI aims to build platform infrastructure for embodied AI data supply.

Its MEgo terminal, which operates independently of a robot body, has entered mass production, while its MEgo Engine data governance platform has improved conventional data-processing efficiency by more than 10 times.
