- Revo 3 offers human‑surpassing flexibility and ultra-precise touch
- Dexterous hand designed for delicate assembly and heavy-duty tasks alike
Chinese brain-computer interface (BCI) pioneer BrainCo has introduced the latest generation of its robotic dexterous hand, Revo 3, pushing the limits of robotic manipulation with human-level—and in some respects, superior—dexterity.
The new hand features 21 degrees of freedom, with four fingers each offering four joints and a thumb with five, surpassing the range of motion of a human hand.
Using a proprietary “full direct-drive plus reversible drive” micro-joint architecture, the system delivers exceptionally smooth and precise movement, capable of handling objects from 10-millimeter components to items 150 millimeters across with stability, the company said.
BrainCo rose to prominence early last year alongside DeepSeek, Unitree, DEEP Robotics, Game Science and Manycore Tech, known together as “Six Dragons of Hangzhou.”
Introduced as an upgrade to its predecessor Revo 2, Revo 3’s top-of-the-line model includes a full-hand tactile sensor array, with fingertip haptic feedback capable of detecting forces as low as 0.01N and shape changes of just 13 microns.
Supporting 33 grasp types, 3Hz rapid open/close cycles, 20N fingertip pinch force, and 70N five-finger grip, the hand combines touch and vision for precise, reliable manipulation.
The hand can carry up to 20 kilograms in total, with a single four-finger load capacity of 5 kilograms and a position repeatability of 0.1 degrees.

It is compatible with mainstream open-source robotic ecosystems such as Nvidia Omniverse, MuJoCo and ManiSkill, enabling one-click deployment and reducing the development barrier for humanoid robots, industrial cobots, and medical rehabilitation devices.
With 500Hz high-frequency communication and multiple control modes, Revo 3 is built to handle both heavy industrial lifting and ultra-delicate tasks in specialized environments.
Pricing and availability remain undisclosed, though the previous Revo 2 model sold for 19,999 yuan ($2,928), compared with 35,000 yuan for Revo 1, on e-commerce website Taobao.
