- Partnership targets smart campuses, manufacturing and ESG initiatives
- Companies aim to apply AI and data analytics across production and operations
Instant noodle and beverage maker Master Kong has signed a strategic partnership with Hangzhou-based video surveillance giant Hikvision to accelerate the digital transformation of its manufacturing and logistics operations.
This tie-up comes as consumer goods companies are increasingly turning to AI and connected technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

The agreement, signed at Master Kong’s sustainability ecosystem conference on May 27, will combine the food company’s consumer-goods expertise with Hikvision’s capabilities in AI, Internet of Things sensing and data analytics.
End-to-end solutions
The companies plan to collaborate on smart industrial campuses, fire safety systems, manufacturing operations and environmental, social and governance initiatives.
Under the partnership, Hikvision will provide end-to-end solutions for Master Kong’s production sites, covering planning, construction, operations and maintenance.
The project is expected to focus on areas including facility management, fire safety monitoring and emergency response.
The companies said the initiative will introduce AI-powered perimeter security at manufacturing sites while integrating data from employee dormitories, cafeterias, visitor management systems and vehicle operations into a unified digital platform.
Optimize production processes
Beyond factory operations, the two firms will jointly develop smart manufacturing solutions tailored to the fast-moving consumer goods sector.

The collaboration will use AI and big-data tools to optimize production processes and improve operational efficiency across the supply chain.
Neither company disclosed financial terms or a detailed implementation timeline for the partnership.
The partnership will also explore energy management systems and digitally enabled production scenarios as the companies seek to build a model smart factory for China’s consumer goods industry.
