Delova Biotech raises $89 million Series C for non-opioid pain drugs

Nanjing-based Delova Biotech (清普生物) has raised about 600 million yuan ($88.59 million) in a Series C round co-led by Govtor Capital, Efung Capital, River Head Capital and Oriza Holdings.

Participants also include Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Capital, SF Biochemical, China Capital, Tailong VC, Guangdong Traditional Chinese Medicine Big Health Fund, Guosen H&S, Guangzhou Industry Investment, Hunan Chasing Fund, Bank of China Capital, and Guoju Investment.

Existing investors Nanjing Innovation Capital Group and Peakview Capital.

Founded in 2017, the company focuses on non-addictive pain therapies built on its proprietary long-acting drug delivery platform and small-molecule discovery technologies.

Its first product, Putanning (Meloxicam Injection II), has been approved in both China and the U.S. as China’s first 24-hour long-acting injectable NSAID and is among the few domestic pain drugs to receive an FDA user fee waiver.

Its second candidate, QP-6211, is the world’s first long-acting ropivacaine injection to report positive results from two Phase III trials, with its marketing application accepted by China’s drug regulator in late 2025.

Another long-acting pain therapy, QP002, is expected to enter Phase III trials. The new funding will support late-stage clinical development, indication expansion and additional small-molecule pipeline programs.

Tonjo lands seed funding for AI-powered leisure boats

Shanghai-based intelligent boating startup Tonjo (同舟智航) has raised tens of millions of yuan in a seed round co-led by Innoangel Fund and Wuzhong Financial Holdings, with Jiangsu Jinqiao Fund also participating.

Founded in June 2025, the company will use the funding to strengthen R&D, expand its mass-production team and accelerate overseas branding and sales channels.

Founder Zhang Chenglun previously led Huawei’s commercial vehicle autonomous driving business and also founded an autonomous mining vehicle company. The core team includes former autonomous driving experts from Huawei, Intel and leading self-driving startups.

Unlike many marine robotics companies, Tonjo focuses exclusively on leisure boats rather than cargo vessels or environmental applications. The company develops intelligent cockpits and autonomous navigation systems, targeting a global installed base of around 35 million powered leisure boats.

It said it has already secured more than 500 orders worth over 100 million yuan, with its first luxury yacht cockpit project scheduled for delivery by the end of July.

LumiBot bags angel round for dexterous robotic hands

Dexterous robotics startup LumiBot (拾玥科技) has raised tens of millions of yuan in an angel round led by a fund affiliated with Changyou Technology, with participation from two state-backed investment funds.

Founded in early 2025 in Hangzhou, the company develops dexterous manipulation technologies for industrial manufacturing and precision assembly. Its product portfolio includes the Lumi-Dex robotic hand, Lumi-Tac vision-based tactile sensor, Lumi-Mind manipulation model and Lumi-Mod motor modules.

Founder Wu Yuwen previously invested in AI vision and robotics startups, while the company’s technical lead is a former Ant Group senior algorithm expert who led training of the Bailing multimodal foundation model.

LumiBot’s core technology is its self-developed Lumi-Tac vision-tactile sensor, which uses miniature cameras to capture gel deformation and infer force, texture and slip with a spatial resolution of 10 microns and force control accuracy of 0.02 newton.

The proceeds will support team expansion, product development, pilot manufacturing and data collection for dexterous manipulation models.
