Space laser firm Laser Link bags funds in Series C+ round
Shanghai-based space laser communications company Laser Link (蓝星光域) completed a Series C+ round worth several hundred million yuan in the first half of 2026, with Yongxin Capital, Jiahe Assets Management, Yuejian Intelligent, Capital Link and other investors participating.
The company will use the proceeds to expand production capacity, build inventories of key materials and core components, and strengthen coordination across its upstream and downstream supply chains.
Laser Link, founded in 2021, develops wireless optical communications technology for satellite internet and other applications.
Satellite comms startup Ubinexus completes Series A follow-on rounds
Wuxi-based satellite communications company Ubinexus (星移联信) has completed back-to-back Series A+ and Series A++ rounds, raising a combined several hundred million yuan.
The Series A+ round was led by the second phase of the Liangxi Sci-Tech Innovation Fund of Funds, with Uniaero Investment, Qingyue Capital and Green Pine Capital participating.
The Series A++ round was led by CAS Investment, with Plum Ventures, The National Innovation Center of High Speed Train, Creation Venture Partners and Zhuopu Investment Fund Management joining the round.
Founded in December 2021, Ubinexus focuses on satellite internet and provides overall design of communications satellite payload systems, development of core payload products and integrated solutions.
The new funding will go toward upgrading satellite communications payloads, strengthening overall payload-system capabilities, expanding production and developing satellite applications.
Spectrum Semiconductor secures Series C round to scale power chip venture
Hangzhou-based Spectrum Semiconductor (谱析光晶), which develops power chips and systems for extreme environments, has raised several hundred million yuan in a Series C round.
New investors include Jiahoo Changyue, Chengdu Capital Group, Shanghai Semiconductor Equipment Material Industry Investment Fund, Shandong Finance Group, Guizhou Guochuang and other state-owned and industrial investors.
Founded in 2020, the company has a core team from Tsinghua University’s Department of Electronic Engineering and focuses on specialized silicon carbide chips and power systems. Its main technology direction is SiC chips and systems capable of operating at temperatures as high as 230 degrees Celsius.
The new funding will support the development of gallium oxide chips, validation of hybrid SiC-gallium oxide power modules and expansion of production capacity for 230°C-class high-temperature chip modules.
Spectrum Semiconductor also plans to explore high-temperature robot joints, space computing and power systems for controlled nuclear fusion.
Next Energy snags angel round to advance sustainable aviation fuel
Hangzhou-based sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) company Next Energy (新航源) has raised several tens of millions of yuan in an angel round led by Zhejiang Shanchuan Hegu, with Yibo Investment and other investors participating.
The company focuses on SAF and high-value bio-based chemicals, with technology routes including alcohol-to-jet (AtJ), methanol-to-jet (MtJ) and power-to-liquid (PtL).
The funding will support construction of a kiloton-scale AtJ pilot plant and the development of its FlexFining™ and AI for Science platforms, as the company moves toward commercial-scale production and expands internationally.
Barty Medical closes Series D to deepen bet on vascular devices
Hangzhou-based vascular medical-device maker Barty Medical (巴泰医疗) has raised several tens of millions of yuan in a Series D round from a fund managed by CICC Capital.
The proceeds will support the commercialization of its third-generation constrained drug-coated balloon, accumulation of clinical evidence, international cooperation and global clinical data collection, as well as development of its next-generation pipeline.
Founded in 2015, Barty Medical develops and manufactures vascular-intervention devices. The company has more than 20 NMPA registrations and is building a portfolio covering vascular access, lumen preparation and drug-based interventional treatment.
The company said the latest financing will further accelerate the global expansion of its brand and technologies.
