AgiBot delivers 20,000th robot as 300 units enter theme park

  • The company’s latest milestone comes as robots take on more than 100 roles at Chimelong Spaceship
  • AgiBot says the deployment covers entertainment, tourism, retail, hospitality and sports

Chinese humanoid-robot maker AgiBot (智元机器人) has delivered its 20,000th general-purpose embodied-intelligence robot, as more than 300 of its machines begin regular operations at a large-scale robotics-themed attraction in southern China.

The 20,000th Expedition A3 Ultra was delivered September 24 at Chimelong Spaceship theme park in Zhuhai’s Hengqin.

The same day, AgiBot and Chimelong, one of China’s largest hospitality and theme park operators, opened what they called the world’s first large-scale embodied-intelligence theme park, with more than 300 AgiBot robots deployed across the venue.

The robots will work across seven areas, including entertainment performances, education, visitor guidance, retail and services, companion experiences, hotel services and sports.

The park has more than 100 interactive experience points, where guests can talk to robots, perform actions and complete tasks with them.

From production to deployment

The 20,000th delivery marks another step-up in AgiBot’s production pace. The company passed 1,000 robots in January 2025 and 10,000 in March 2026, reaching 20,000 about six months later.

The A3 Ultra is equipped with a 360-degree perception system, a computing platform delivering 700 TOPS and an omnidirectional dexterous hand with 20 degrees of freedom.

It can perform tasks including delivery, handling, organizing and restocking.

Joint research institute

AgiBot and Chimelong also launched an Embodied Intelligence Culture and Tourism Joint Research Institute, which will work on adapting robots to tourism scenarios, algorithm development and commercial testing.

The deployment puts hundreds of robots into a public environment with large visitor volumes and unpredictable human interactions, requiring them to navigate changing surroundings and operate alongside one another.

AgiBot said the partnership will provide a real-world testing ground for the long-term operation of embodied AI across a range of consumer-facing scenarios.
