Qiantang Longyue Biotech raises over $15 million
Hangzhou-based Qiantang Longyue Biotech (钱塘隆越生物科技) has raised more than 100 million yuan in a new funding round led by HM Capital, with Bioinsight Ventures and Zhejiang University Qizhen Investment also participating.
Founded in February 2021, the company provides innovative packaging and drug-delivery system solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry.
It has built an 8,000-square-meter GMP-compliant Class 10,000 cleanroom and a comprehensive laboratory system.
Its products include COP prefilled syringes, ophthalmic drug-delivery systems, aesthetic-medical injection products and smart electronic infusion systems.
The company provides one-stop customized services covering design, validation and commercial production.
The latest funding will support further improvements in R&D and industrialization capabilities and expand its overall presence in innovative drug-device combination packaging and drug-delivery systems.
Qubot closes $15 million pre-Series A+ funding round
Shanghai-based surgical robotics company Qubot (思博慧医) has raised nearly 100 million yuan ($14.9 million) in a pre-Series A+ financing round led by Noyu Capital.
Other participants include Pudong Venture Capital, TCM giant Pianzaihuang’s corporate venture arm Yingke Fund, Tongyang Fund and Venus Venture, an investment arm of the A&AP Research Institute (Taihu Lake).
The company’s core product is a fully automated magnetic-controlled interventional surgical robot platform, which aims to enable a new model of automated interventional surgery.
The latest funding will mainly be used for regulatory approval, clinical trials and commercialization of the platform.
Scinetics bags some $7.5 million in angel funding round
Shanghai-based AI-for-Science startup Scinetics (科理新序) has raised nearly 50 million yuan ($7.45 million) in an angel round led by Innoangel Fund, with Yijing Capital, Xiaomiao Langcheng VC and Kylinhall Partners also participating.
The company combines an AI4S foundation model with physical AI to build a scientific foundation model capable of multimodal understanding of DNA, RNA, protein structures and experimental data, while connecting the full cycle of “understanding-design-experiment-feedback-relearning.”
Founder Zhang Zaixi (张载熙) graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China’s Junior Class and earned his PhD in computer science at USTC.
He later conducted joint research at Harvard Medical School and postdoctoral research at Princeton University’s AI laboratory.
The funding will mainly support iteration of its AI4S scientific foundation model, large-scale deployment of automated laboratory platforms and expansion of its core team.
