Medical imaging startup USTCFQ raises 300 million yuan in Series A+ round

Hefei-based medical equipment company USTCFQ (科大福晴) has raised 300 million yuan ($44.74 million) in a Series A+ financing round, following a 200 million yuan Series A round previously led by a fund backed by Hefei’s state-owned capital.

A team from the University of Science and Technology of China took an equity stake through the commercialization of its research results.

Founded by Professor Qiu Bensheng (邱本胜) and his team at the University of Science and Technology of China, USTCFQ focuses on high-end magnetic resonance imaging equipment and non-invasive brain modulation systems.

Its non-invasive deep-brain modulation system has received NMPA registration approval, making USTCFQ the first brain-computer interface-related technology company in Anhui to receive such certification.

The latest funding will be used to accelerate the clinical adoption of its non-invasive deep-brain modulation equipment and expand globally.

Wushi Microelectronics secures 100 million yuan in Series A round

Suzhou-based wafer-bonding equipment maker Wushi Microelectronics (吾拾微电子) has raised 100 million yuan ($14.9 million) in a Series A round jointly backed by Summit View Capital, GL Ventures, Shenzhen Capital Group, Suzhou Capital Group’s Angel Fund of Funds, and Silicon Paradise Capital.

The company’s products cover temporary bonding and debonding, permanent bonding equipment and related materials.

Its 12-inch wafer-bonding equipment has secured volume orders and entered large-scale delivery.

The new funding will support R&D and capacity expansion for wafer-bonding equipment used in 3D stacking and advanced packaging, as well as the localization of bonding equipment for photonic chips.

SMR developer JHAtom bags 100 million yuan in angel+ round

Shanghai-based small modular reactor developer JHAtom (钧合原子) has raised about 100 million yuan ($14.9 million) in an angel+ round jointly backed by China Capital, China Securities Investment, Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies, Hanghan Capital and Vlight Capital.

The latest financing comes less than three months after the company raised several hundred million yuan in an angel round in July.

Founded in 2025, JHAtom focuses on the development and commercialization of small modular reactors for nuclear fission.

Founder Tian Jiashu (田佳树) previously served as deputy chief engineer at China National Nuclear Corporation and China General Nuclear Power and led construction of the first Hualong One reactor.

The company’s first product, the 100-MWe Junhe-1 (钧合一号) small pressurized-water reactor, has completed conceptual design and is now undergoing detailed design and validation.

Ophthalmic drug developer Tongeye closes pre-Series A funding

Ningbo-based ophthalmic drug developer Tongeye (济视同光) has raised tens of millions of yuan in a pre-Series A round backed exclusively by Beijing Fuzhi Investment.

Founded in October 2023, Tongeye focuses on developing innovative treatments for difficult-to-treat eye diseases.

Its lead program, TE02102, is an injectable retinal pigment epithelial cell therapy derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).

The company is currently recruiting patients with late-stage dry age-related macular degeneration and has established a multicenter clinical research network with Changhai Hospital, Peking University Third Hospital and other institutions.

The new funding will support R&D and clinical development of TE02102, as well as upgrades to its process-development platform, intellectual-property portfolio and recruitment of additional talent.

AIGC platform developer NeoDomain completes angel round

Shanghai-based AI creation tool producer NeoDomain (智灵新境) has raised tens of millions of yuan in an angel round from Zhejiang Huace Film & TV.

Founded in January 2025, the company develops NeoWow, a canvas-style AI creation platform targeting professional individual creators.

The platform generated more than tens of millions of yuan in monthly revenue in August 2026, up more than 100-fold from its initial launch in March.

Its registered-user paid conversion rate has exceeded 16%, and the company is currently profitable.

Its breakout AIGC work, All Things Grow, has surpassed 100 million views on Douyin and became a key driver of the platform’s rapid revenue growth.
