- The company has mass-produced brake, suspension and steering systems, with orders exceeding 3 billion yuan
- Backed by more than 1 billion yuan in funding, Bibo is preparing for global expansion and a potential IPO
Chinese chassis manufacturer Bibo (比博斯特) officially opened its new headquarters in Hangzhou’s Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone on October 11, marking a new phase of group expansion, global growth and capital market plans.
The 10,000-square-meter facility includes a headquarters building, clean workshops and an R&D center, laying the foundation for the Hangzhou-based company’s next stage of development.

Bibo is among Hangzhou’s “New Eight Steeds,” a group of high-growth tech companies identified by the city as emerging innovation leaders across fields such as robotics, AI and advanced manufacturing.
The initiative follows Hangzhou’s earlier “Six Little Dragons” campaign and highlights the city’s push to cultivate its next generation of tech champions.
Founded in 2021, Bibo develops electronic control systems for intelligent vehicle chassis. Its core team combines technology from Tsinghua University laboratories with automotive industry experience.
The company has achieved mass production across three major chassis systems — braking, suspension and steering — making it one of the few Chinese suppliers to achieve stable commercial delivery across all three “X, Y and Z” chassis axes.
Commercialization milestones
Its integrated brake-by-wire product, named Bibo Integrated Brake Control System, has delivered more than 150,000 units, with more than 1.5 million units in orders and cumulative mileage exceeding 1 billion kilometers.
Its Brake Electronic Stability Control (BESC) system has delivered more than 600,000 units, with more than 1.2 million units in orders.
Its intelligent suspension air supply system BAS has delivered over 50,000 units and secured more than 1 million new orders.
According to the company, its total orders have surpassed 3 billion yuan ($448 million). It has filed nearly 300 patents, with overseas patent coverage across more than 30 countries.
Bibo has entered the supply chains of major automakers including Geely, GAC, Volkswagen Anhui, FAW-Volkswagen, SAIC Volkswagen, BYD, Chery, Dongfeng, Dongfeng Nissan, BAIC, Changan and SAIC-GM-Wuling.
In 2026, the company entered Volkswagen’s global supply chain, with related products expected to begin mass production in the fourth quarter.
Overseas, it has established business presence across four continents and passed supplier reviews by a top-five global automaker, while advancing plans for production bases in Europe and South America.
Capital push
Bibo is accelerating its capital market plans. In April 2026, it raised more than 700 million yuan in a Series B+ funding round, bringing total funding from its Series B round to more than 1 billion yuan.
The round was led by Zhejiang’s new energy vehicle industry fund, with participation from investors including Shunchuang Capital and Hangzhou Direct Investment Fund.

Founder and president Liu Xiaohui (刘晓辉) said the company has set a clear timetable for its capital market strategy, signaling the start of its IPO journey.
Revenue doubled in 2025, and Bibo aims to reach 1 billion yuan in annual revenue and achieve full profitability by 2027.
Building the next stage
The new Hangzhou headquarters marks the starting point of Bibo’s “second five-year plan.”
The company has also built a manufacturing base in Tongxiang, Jiaxing, with total investment of 500 million yuan.
Once fully operational, the facility will have annual capacity for 1 million intelligent suspension air supply systems and 150,000 electric redundant steering systems.
Bibo’s arrival would strengthen the region’s intelligent vehicle ecosystem by connecting core hardware, control software and system integration, a spokesperson of the Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone said.
It also will attract more companies in automotive software, precision manufacturing and vehicle electronics, the official added.
