- New model starts at 26,900 yuan with modular configurations
- Launch follows IPO filing and continued push into mass-market robotics
Unitree (宇树科技), a leading developer of legged robots, unveiled a new dual-arm humanoid robot priced from 26,900 yuan ($3,932), sharpening its push into the consumer segment with a lower-cost platform focused on upper-body manipulation.
The model, which Unitree did not name, was released April 30 and emphasizes dexterity and interaction. Equipped with a binocular vision module and voice interface, it supports between 15 and 31 degrees of freedom, with arm configurations ranging from five to seven joints per limb.
Unlike full humanoid systems, the robot’s lower half comes as either a fixed base or a mobile platform, while its end effectors are interchangeable.
Unitree showcased multiple hand designs, including two-, three- and five-finger configurations, with four versions available to target different use cases.
The launch extends Unitree’s strategy of undercutting rivals on hardware pricing. In July 2025, the company introduced its third humanoid model, the Unitree R1, at a starting price of 39,900 yuan ahead of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai.
The Hangzhou-based firm has also moved closer toward public markets. The Shanghai Stock Exchange accepted its application for a STAR Market listing on March 20.
According to its prospectus, Unitree plans to raise 4.2 billion yuan to fund robot model development, core hardware, new product lines and a manufacturing base.
