Robotics ‘world model’ developer Five Ages raises Series A funding
Investor interest in world-model-based embodied AI has accelerated in recent months as startups pursue alternatives to data-intensive robotics training approaches.
Investor interest in world-model-based embodied AI has accelerated in recent months as startups pursue alternatives to data-intensive robotics training approaches.
The startup is developing a consumer-facing spatial camera category that it says could function both as a 3D content creation tool and as a data collection gateway for embodied AI and world models.
Selected projects can receive as much as 300,000 yuan ($44,242) each for one-year collaboration cycles, with strong-performing projects eligible for continued funding.
The approval allows the company to commercially deploy the model under China’s generative AI regulations, which require security and compliance reviews before public rollout.
Moxin said its research led the company to identify what it describes as the “Scaling Law” for spatial intelligence.
The feature, launched April 27, lets users upload a single image and explore a dynamically generated 3D environment for up to 60 seconds, navigating it using game-style controls.
Unlike conventional AI video generators that rely on prompt-based rendering workflows, the system allows users to continuously adjust scenes as they are being created.
