- Hangzhou wearables startup partners with CCTV to bring AI-powered match alerts to viewers
- Users can check scores, schedules, and real-time progress, with on-screen prompts and voice updates
Rokid (灵伴科技), the Hangzhou-based AI eyewear maker, will launch a World Cup-focused smart assistant that delivers live scores, match schedules, and real-time updates to users for free.
The rollout follows an exclusive partnership with state broadcaster China Central Television, making Rokid the first AI glasses brand to sponsor World Cup broadcast.
“Users can ask about score predictions, view all match schedules, and track ongoing games,” said Cai Guoxiang, vice president of Rokid. “This feature is completely free for all Rokid users. We hope this partnership with CCTV will introduce AI glasses to a broader audience.”
When users open the “World Cup Radar” function on their glasses, key data such as team popularity, kickoff countdowns, and matchup details appear clearly in the glasses’ interface.

Due to the monochrome display, full-color live video isn’t possible, but voice narration and text pop-ups ensure that scores, goals, and other match events are relayed immediately.
Global AI glasses shipments surged 322% over the past year to 8.7 million units, with China now the world’s second-largest market, according to data released by Omdia in March 2026.
Rokid leads both domestic and global markets in AI glasses with display capabilities, Omdia said.
