The new system marks what Alibaba described as the e-commerce industry’s first customer service agent capable of completing operational workflows rather than simply answering questions.
The new education platform, introduced under Alibaba’s enterprise AI unit Wukong, integrates AI into four core areas of campus operations: teaching, research, student services and administration.
“Companies are no longer asking whether AI can be deployed,” founder and CEO Hu Min said. “The real question is whether AI can be turned into productivity safely, reliably and sustainably.”
Named GD01, the transformable robot can carry a human operator and switch between upright humanoid form and a four-legged mode designed for rough terrain.
Local authorities said AI literacy courses now cover all grade levels across the city’s primary and secondary schools, with students receiving at least 10 class hours per academic year.
The robot combines a quadruped platform, AI models and 5G-plus-satellite communications to enter hazardous areas without human rescuers.
